ashamed of being offline?
hello, bellas. i'm back from a nearly week-long vacation out-of-state for a family reunion. did i miss anything? ;P
i decided that i didn't want to be online much during this trip. so i took a break from taking new work, blogging, or posting on the forums i frequent. after all, i'm seeing family members that i only see once or twice a year at most, so of course i want to spend as much time with them as possible. and boy, do they love to play games, eat our family's cooking, and chat about their escapades. they can be fun, but still tiring. no wonder we only see them once a year... hehe.
i wasn't too worried about being offline. but i know that some people are. they think that they need to be connected 24/7, 365, posting every day on instagram or tik tok or whatever, or else everyone will forget about them forever. which is not a good feeling, right? why SHOULD we be expected to be always connected and reachable, even on vacation? sometimes, there are more important things to do in our lives; more important than keeping up with your comment sections, feed, or upload schedule. and there is nothing wrong with that.
so, are you ashamed of being offline? don't be. you deserve opportunities to disconnect, too.
